Queensway spends the day with Shooting Star Children’s Hospices
Giving back and looking after one another is part of the Queensway DNA. On Thursday 11th August 2022, members of our Support Office rallied together to spend the day with Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. The team gave their time and freshened up their garden, working alongside their incredible maintenance team. Between them, they; painted fences, trimmed hedges, refreshed flower beds and more.
Anne Carey from Shooting Star said “On one of the hottest days of the year, the team from Queensway were lifting out rotten sleepers from around flower beds, as well as treating fences and trimming hedges. Not easy tasks in such extreme temperatures, but the team worked so hard to make a difference for the families we support and were still smiling at the end of the day. Thank you so much! It's been a pleasure to have you visit!” We were delighted that we could make such a difference!
It was a pleasure to make such a difference especially as the work Shooting Star do to support children and their families who suffer from life-limiting conditions is incredible.
