Queensway's Starbucks portfolio reaches 19 with two new openings in one week

Queensway Coffee Houses add 2 new stores to the portfolio this week with the opening of Starbucks in the Sainsburys superstore in Aylesbury and in the Kingsthorpe Shopping Centre.

The Aylesbury store is located within a new Sainsburys superstore and is the first for the brand in the local area. The new store will create 23 new jobs and the opening coincides with the launch of the festive season menu from Starbucks.

The team has chosen to partner with The Nic Willoughby Fund, in memory of a former colleague of the store manager who passed away from a rare heart condition.

Starbucks Aylesbury has a contemporary design, offering customers the opportunity to enjoy a handcrafted cup of coffee and relax with the comfortable seating and free wi-fi. Delivery via Just Eat and Uber Eats will be fully available to all customers.

The store in Kingsthorpe replaces a former Carphone Warehouse shop in the Kingsthorpe Shopping Centre, just off Harborough Road. The council have advised that the introduction of the Starbucks brand would add 'vitality and viability' to the shopping centre.

The new café has an outdoor seating area in a former landscaped area of the shopping centre car park, no spaces will be lost however. The café has a window for delivery vehicle collections, responding to the rise in delivery and partnerships with delivery aggregators such as Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo.

“We are excited to open our new store in Aylesbury and look forward to welcoming the local community. The team will continue to closely follow the latest guidance from both the government and health authorities to keep everyone safe."
