Operating Partner

I joined the Queensway Group in 2023 as Operating Partner. Having started my career at the management consultancy, Bain & Company back in 1998, I have subsequently spent the rest of my career working in the retail & hospitality sectors, largely for Private Equity backed businesses: as Strategy Director for Somerfield Supermarkets, as Operations Director for Mitchells & Butlers, as Commercial Director and CEO for Maplin Electronics and as CEO for Gaucho Restaurants. Most recently, I was Operating Partner for Equistone Partners Europe, a pan-European, mid-market Private Equity Fund.

My role here at Queensway is to work alongside Naushad, Pierre and the Managing Directors in each of the Queensway businesses to agree their long-term strategies, and hence the overall Queensway Group strategy, and to support the most significant change programmes. This means that I am working across the whole Group, which is super interesting!

I am hugely excited about the significant growth opportunities that Queensway has in each of its businesses. More importantly, though, I love being part of a family-owned & led business that is as ambitious as any Private Equity Fund to drive value-creation, but that also recognises the importance of supporting and encouraging every colleague to be the best version of themselves! The Group’s values of challenging everything, working together, having fun and being kind are lived by every colleague – which makes Queensway a truly special and fantastic place to work!
