We are proud to work with world-class restaurant and coffee house brands, and our sincere approach to hospitality makes us an excellent franchisee. We operate a growing portfolio of 19 KFC restaurants and 13 Starbucks coffee houses across the UK. Our experienced team and highly trained staff apply Queensway's unique standards of hospitality to all our outlets, enhancing their commercial performance, and providing a genuinely welcoming experience that goes above and beyond our customers' expectations.

A different way of operating

By providing hospitality that is sincere and heartfelt, we aim to make every customer feel like a welcomed guest in our home. We know how important our people are in achieving this, and we carefully follow the brand guidelines set by KFC and Starbucks. We provide the additional skills and resources our people need, to operate their restaurants and coffee houses as warmly and efficiently as possible. 

Our people are crucially important to us. We take good care in helping them develop their skills and progress their careers with us at Queensway. Our people receive the same KFC and Starbucks training as those in equity stores, and we always aim to go above and beyond by offering additional training and career opportunities for our people.

We encourage our Store Managers (SMs) and Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) to take real ownership of their store's commercial performance by providing them with the tools and information they need to enable them to understand their store’s performance and commit to constant improvement.

We were one of the first companies in the UK to become a Starbucks franchisee, and we share their aspiration of creating a 'third place', or home from home. Our people are carefully chosen, and fully trained to provide the personal touch that creates a sincere and lasting connection with our customers.

In our KFC stores, everything is focused on delivering a great product in a great environment. From the people we employ and train, to our continual investment in the store environment, we aim to make our customers comfortable and our people proud to serve them.

We know that great operations are down to great people, and we have set up our organisation so that our HR, Finance and Operations teams truly support our Store Managers, Restaurant General Managers and their teams, for the ultimate benefit of all our customers. 

Growth & development

We are committed to taking care of our portfolio of restaurants and coffee houses, and opening new stores in our trade zones.

  • In 2015, we refurbished seven of our KFC stores, with four more refurbishments planned in 2016 and three in 2017.
  • We have refurbished two Starbucks, with two more refurbishments planned in 2016 and a further four in 2017.
  • We opened two new KFC Drive Thrus, the first in Chester in August 2015 and the second in Kidderminster in February 2016.
  • We recently opened a brand new Starbucks store in First Street, Manchester which opened in May 2016.
  • In October 2016, we opened a new KFC Drive Thru in Castlegate Dudley.
  • By the end of 2017, we will have a further two Starbucks Drive Thrus in Kidderminster and Gloucester as well as a 'Drive To' store in Chester.
