October 2011 - Planning permission granted for Tune Hotel Paddington.
On the 22nd October 2011 Westminster Council granted planning permission for the conversion of 39-55 Praed Street to a Tune Hotel and work commenced immediately on its conversion to 134 bedrooms with a number of retail units at ground floor level. The hotel will open in June 2012, in time for the London Olympic Games.
September 2011 - Tune Hotel's expansion continues.
Queensway and it joint venture partner acquired a substantial vacant office building at 324 Grays Inn Road, Kings Cross, formerly the head quarters of Unite union. The building had already obtained planning consent for conversion to a hotel and work started immediately on the development of a 200 bedroomed Tune Hotel, scheduled to open in June 2012.
June 2011 - Another new Hotel site
Queensway and its fellow investors in .Raag Hotels have completed the purchase of 39-55 Praed Street, Paddington London. Planning application has been lodged to convert this office building into a 134 bedroomed Tune Hotel.
December 2010 - New site acquired.
Queensway and its fellow investors in Raag Hotels have completed the purchase of 13-15 Folgate Street London E1. We will be submitting a planning application for this substantially vacant property to the local authority in the next few weeks to convert the building into a Tune Hotel.
November 2010 - Queensway continues to grow its KFC business in the UK.
Queensway Hospitality completed the purchase of 8 Restaurants from Yum Brands! in the South Manchester and Liverpool area and has the benefit of additional trade zones to develop further new build restaurants in these areas. In addition we opened 2 new restaurants in the Birmingham area, one at the Star City entertainment complex and the other in the Maypole area of the City. These additions bring our total number of restaurants in the UK to 22 and we continue to seek further sites to add to our portfolio.
